Trek Bicycle chooses Adyen to power embedded payments
Adyen, the global financial technology platform of choice for leading businesses, has partnered with Trek Bicycle to provide independent bike retailers with enterprise grade payments via Trek’s retail SaaS platform, Ascend RMS, which is built to address the unique needs of bike shops and outdoor retailers.
Through Adyen for Platforms, Adyen will power Ascend RMS with store payments and credits in over 2,000 bicycle shops in 12 countries.
“Our partnership with Adyen allows us to provide amazing payment solutions to retailers using Ascend RMS, both Trek-owned and independent,” said Vice President of Ascend, Roger Gierhart. “Adyen’s user-friendly features, improved fraud prevention, and support for multiple payment types not only save time for busy retailers but also empower them to prioritize their customers.”
Adyen for Platforms enables SaaS platforms and marketplaces to power elevated payment experiences for users at scale, while unlocking new revenue streams to fuel platform growth. In a single global solution, platform customers can onboard users with ease, process payments across channels and payout funds with speed. As a result, customers cut down fees, complex contracts and partners by using the same payments technology everywhere they operate.
“Payments can be a complex undertaking for independent retailers to tackle on their own, and Adyen for Platforms enables us to meet those needs at the platform level,” said Davi Strazza, president of Adyen North America. “We’re proud to be working with Trek to help make Ascend RMS a one-stop-shop for outdoor retailers, including simplified online and in-store payments.”
