Chime appoints Jeff Currier as Chief Technology Officer
US fintech Chime have announced that Jeff Currier (pictured) has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer, bringing broad and deep fintech experience to lead the technology organization. Jeff comes to Chime with deep engineering knowledge and extensive experience in the fintech industry, making him well-poised to accelerate Chime’s technology organization.
In his role as CTO, Jeff Currier will lead Chime’s engineering organization, improving their ability to innovate, deploy products, and increase shipping velocity. His primary focus will be on bringing value to Chime’s members by partnering with Chime’s Chief Product Officer to ship products that enrich their lives. He will also work to set Chime’s engineers up for success, enabling them to effectively deliver Chime’s products to members.

Prior to joining Chime, Jeff held the position of CTO at Galileo Financial Technologies, a SoFi company, leading the company’s technical transformation to the cloud. Prior to SoFi’s acquisition of Galileo, he was VP of Engineering at SoFi, where he led the development of the SoFi Money consumer product. Before his tenure at SoFi, Jeff led engineering teams at Amazon Web Services (DynamoDB), Twitter, and Microsoft. At Microsoft, he was a founding member of the Azure SQL database team and led the initial launch of the service along with the rest of the Azure platform.
